Many do not fully understand the responsibilities they  have as ‘duty holders’,  the asbestos regulations that came into effect on the 21st May 2004 do not simply require the formulation of an asbestos survey but require that management can demonstrate appropriate policies, procedures and have plans in place to safeguard the wellbeing of those that have access to the premises.
